Email protection

Email protection

Any respectable UTM these days should bring to the table some sort of email control feature. We, at Syneto, take pride in our solution that combines a simple email filter with an antivirus scanning engine and a spam detection unit. All these three subsystems are tightly integrated and they can be simultaneously unleashed. The order in which they act over an email can be user defined. Our antivirus and antispam solutions have automatic updates freeing you from the burden to remember to update them every now and then.

Email Filtering

Email filtering is a solution to stop unwanted emails simply and efficiently without the additional processor overhead usually found in antivirus and anti-spam systems. It works by inspecting the data from an emails header against a user defined sets of rules. When a rule matches the action of that rule will be enforced upon the email. Each email can be accepted or blocked respectively with each of these actions having two possible additional actions: quarantine the email or send it to a third party in the form of a BCC (Blind Carbon Copy).

Antispam protection

Why have an inbox full of spam when we can filter out 97-98% of it? If it takes an user 2 seconds to skim through each email, and he gets 200 emails per day, 6-7 minutes are lost only to figure out which email is junk. Multiply this by let's say 50 employees, and we have 300-350 wasted minutes a day. Almost 6 hours.

What does that mean? In the above scenario, we have just saved you one working day. No thank you's required. This is what we do. This is what we love to do.

Antivirus protection

We protect your email against malicious software - at a network level. No more installing antiviruses on each computer, no more configuration, maintenance, headaches and problems. Just enable the antivirus service on the Syneto UTM and all mail coming or going through is scanned in real time. And with the automatic definitions update, you know the users are always protected against the newest threats.
